1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the RydX mobile application or accessing rydx.app (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
2. Description of Service
RydX is a premium cycling companion application for iOS that provides GPS activity tracking, Bluetooth sensor integration, turn-by-turn navigation, climb planning, and training analytics. The Services are intended for recreational and competitive cyclists aged 13 and over.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
- Use the Services to transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or our systems
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Services
5. Training Metrics and Third-Party Trademarks
RydX displays training metrics including Training Stress Score (TSS®), Intensity Factor (IF®), and Normalised Power (NP®). These terms are registered trademarks of TrainingPeaks, LLC and are used within RydX under licence. Their calculation follows the methodologies established by TrainingPeaks.
RydX is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TrainingPeaks, LLC, Garmin Ltd., Hammerhead, Strava, Inc., or any other third-party brand mentioned within the Services.
6. Third-Party Integrations
RydX may allow you to connect your account to third-party services including Strava and TrainingPeaks. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of those third parties.
7. Safety Disclaimer
Cycling involves inherent risks. RydX is a tool to support your riding — it does not replace your own judgement, situational awareness, or safe riding practice. You are solely responsible for your safety while using the app on a bicycle.
- Always obey local road laws and traffic regulations.
- Do not interact with the app in ways that distract you from safe riding.
- GPS and sensor data may contain inaccuracies — do not rely on them exclusively for navigation in hazardous conditions.
- Radar sensor integration is an aid to awareness, not a substitute for checking traffic manually.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks within the Services are owned by or licensed to RydX. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
Your ride data, routes, and personal training files remain your property. We do not claim ownership over user-generated content.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that GPS and sensor data will be accurate at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RydX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RydX is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
