1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the RydX mobile application or accessing rydx.app (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
2. Description of Service
RydX is an iOS cycling computer app for outdoor riding. It provides GPS activity recording, Bluetooth sensor support, route navigation, climb information, ride history and file export. The Services are intended for cyclists aged 13 and over.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the app
- Use the Services to transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or our systems
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Services
4. App Store Terms and Purchases
If you download RydX from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard terms and the App Store's rules also apply. Unless a separate custom license is provided in App Store Connect, Apple's standard End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app.
Any paid features, subscriptions or in-app purchases offered by RydX will be handled through Apple's in-app purchase system and are subject to Apple's payment, renewal, cancellation and refund processes.
5. Data, Exports and Optional Integrations
Your ride data, routes and exported files remain yours. RydX may let you export or share files using iOS or optional integrations. You are responsible for where you send those files and for complying with the terms of any third-party app or service you use.
6. Safety Disclaimer
Cycling involves inherent risks. RydX is a tool to support your riding — it does not replace your own judgement, situational awareness, or safe riding practice. You are solely responsible for your safety while using the app on a bicycle.
- Always obey local road laws and traffic regulations.
- Do not interact with the app in ways that distract you from safe riding.
- GPS and sensor data may contain inaccuracies — do not rely on them exclusively for navigation in hazardous conditions.
- Radar sensor integration is an aid to awareness, not a substitute for checking traffic manually.
7. Health and Fitness Information
RydX provides cycling, fitness and navigation information for convenience. It is not medical advice and should not be used to diagnose, treat or prevent any medical condition. Consult a qualified professional before changing training or exercise routines if you have health concerns.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks within the Services are owned by or licensed to RydX. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without explicit written permission.
Your ride data, routes, and personal training files remain your property. We do not claim ownership over user-generated content.
9. Third-Party Trademarks and Notices
RydX is an independent application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any third-party brand mentioned in the Services.
Apple, iPhone, iOS, Apple Health and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions.
The Bluetooth® word mark is a registered trademark owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. Any use of that mark by RydX is for descriptive compatibility purposes.
Garmin and FIT are trademarks or registered trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its affiliates. RydX may read or write FIT files for interoperability.
Strava is a trademark of Strava, Inc. TrainingPeaks, TSS, Training Stress Score, IF, Intensity Factor, NP and Normalized Power are trademarks or registered trademarks of TrainingPeaks, LLC. These marks are referenced only where supported features require them.
Google, Android and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that GPS and sensor data will be accurate at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RydX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will use a reasonable notice method, such as updating this page or showing a notice in the app where appropriate.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where RydX is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so parts of these Terms may not apply to you.
